Load limits on KY 2385 in McLean Co. | Transportation

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has posted a 15 Ton load limit on KY 2385 in McLean County, effective immediately.

An inspection of the KY 2385 Pond Drain Creek Branch Bridge found the superstructure and substructure to be in poor condition, prompting the load restriction.

The Pond Drain Creek Branch Bridge is located at KY 2385 mile point 3.545.  This is on KY 2385 between North Plain Lane and Whobry Road, about a mile west of KY 81.

The 15-ton load limit means vehicles over that weight should avoid crossing the bridge.  Violators will be subject to a citation and fine.

Engineers will be reviewing the inspection report and examining the bridge to determine what steps should be taken to improve the integrity of the support structure.
