TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane restrictions on KY 69 | News
Title (Max 100 Characters)
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane along KY 69 in southern Hancock County starting Tuesday, July 31.
The lane restriction during daylight hours along KY 69 at mile point 0.5 is for the repair of a landslide along the right of way. This is in the Roseville area near the Lyonia Road/Pellville Road Intersection about a half-mile north of the Hancock-Ohio County Line.
The KYTC Hancock County Highway Maintenance Crew will be working with a contractor to install a Rapid Installation Barrier System (RIBS) to stabilize a section of the roadway. This same system was recently used to stabilize a section of KY 85/Anton Road near the Hopkins-McLean County Line.
Motorists should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers in this work zone between approximately 7:00 a.m., CDT, and 4:00 p.m., through Friday. Work may continue later into the day to allow the project to be completed in a timely manner.
Some delays are possible.
Caution is required in this work zone due to equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel working along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
