Beaver Dam man charged with DUI after flipping station wagon

A 57-year-old Beaver Dam resident was hurt Monday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident.

According to Kentucky State Police, Anthony Black was driving a red 1993 Mercury station wagon on Taylor Mine Road, just outside the city limits of Beaver Dam. While attempting to negotiate a curve, troopers say his vehicle went off the shoulder of the roadway causing him to lose control.  The vehicle flipped several times before coming to final rest in a neighboring yard.

Black was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and possession of an open alcohol container inside of a motor vehicle.

He was transported to Ohio County hospital.
