Ohio Co. Sheriff: Alcohol trafficking case leads to arrest warrant for sex offender | News
An investigation into illegal alcohol sales led to an arrest warrant for a McHenry man being arrested for failing to comply with the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry.
After a two-month investigation, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department issued an arrest warrant for 55-year-old Larry J. Howard last Friday. Deputies received an anonymous tip about alcohol being sold from a building in McHenry. The Ohio County Times-News reports that officers went to the location and seized nearly eight cases of beer. While Howard wasn’t there at the time, the warrant charged him with trafficking, possession and transporting alcoholic beverages in a dry territory.
Further investigation led to the sex offender registry charges.
