Many gather in Ohio Co. to 'Shop with a Trooper' | Events

On Saturday, the Kentucky State Police Professional Association held its annual Shop with a Trooper (SWAT) program.

State police say 103 children, their families, KSP troopers, Ohio County Sheriff’s Deputies, Beaver Dam Police, Hartford Police and Kentucky Probation and Parole officers met at the Beaver Dam Wal-Mart for the event.

Troopers and the officers assisted the children and their families with the shopping. Several items of clothing were purchased including coats, jeans, shirts, shoes, hats, and gloves.  The shopping trip also included picking up some toys.

The Kentucky State Police would like to thank all of those people who made generous donations and helped make this year’s S.W.A.T. a success.
