Guns, pot seized in Hartford bust

The Ohio County Sheriff's Office found a large amount of illegal drugs while carrying out a search warrant Wednesday night.

Deputies searched a Hartford home and property after receiving a tip from the Daviess County Sheriff's Office. They recovered eight guns, over 100 marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, and more than 70 marijuana seedlings.

Leonard Bratcher and Karen Bratcher were charged with cultivating marijuana more than five plants while armed, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Three people have been arrested and charged with making meth in Ohio County. 

We’re told it happened on East Center Street in Hartford after authorities were called to help a probation and parole officer with a home visit. 

State Police say they found meth making materials inside the home and in the backyard. 

Fifty-year-old Lisa Basham, 32-year-old Brandy Johnson and Timothy Yonts--all of Hartford-- are in the Ohio County Jail.

12-year-old accused of threatening principal at OCMS

A 12-year-old Ohio County Middle School student has been charged with terroristic threatening in a case involving the school's principal.

According to our media partner, the Ohio County Times-News, the school's resource officer, the boy sent threatening text messages to principal Chester Hoover and claiming he had access to guns.

Stafford said the student's cell phone was taken into evidence.

The school is currently on spring break.

Utica man jailed on meth making charges

A Utica, KY man is in jail after Ohio County Sheriff's detectives say they found a working meth lab in his home.

Detective Doug Esther told the Ohio County Times-News that they received a complaint from the public about possible drug activity and obtained a search warrant for the home at 2221 Harmons Perry Road last Friday.

Inside, law enforcement officers say they found the working lab and other paraphernalia along with amounts of meth and marijuana as well as cash.

Tip leads to drug bust in Fordsville

 

Two Fordsville residents are facing drug charges after an anonymous tip from the public.

Kentucky State Police say one of their troopers joined the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department at 215 E. Main St. about 9:45 last night.

At the home, the trooper located various products used to make meth.  Marijuana and meth were also located inside. 

Tony C. Davis, 54, and Ashley K. Estes, 27, were each arrested on charges of manufacturing meth , possession of meth and trafficking in marijuana.

Ohio County trio facing meth making charges

Kentucky State Police arrested three Ohio County residents on charges of manufacturing meth Monday night.

The Ohio County Sheriff's Office and state troopers went to a home on Shreve Road to serve a warrant when they discovered an active meth lab inside.

Arrested and charged were Jeffrey Smallwood of Hartford, Tracy Bratcher of Fordsville and Crystal Warfield of Fordsville.  It's Bratcher's second meth-related offense. 

All three were taken to the Ohio County Detention Center.

A rural Hawesville man was arrested on drug charges after a fire broke out at a home on KY 1389 Thursday afternoon.

Kentucky State Police William Wilkerson was arrested for making meth after Hawesville Fire crews put out a blaze around 4:30.

Officers say they discovered the remnants of a one pot meth lab.
