Fundraiser for Houston Whitaker family is Saturday | Community Spirit

The community of Calhoun, Kentucky is having a fundraiser for the widow and two young children of Houston Whitaker, who was killed in an accident at his family's auto body shop in June.

The event will all take place this Saturday, August 11, at Myer Creek Park in Calhoun.

Starting at 7 am is a rummage sale in the 4H Building. At 11 am is the corn hole tournament. Four o'clock starts the live auction with big tickets items donated for this cause.

At 5 pm begins the concert. Higher Praise, a Southern Gospel quartet starts it off, and then at 7 pm, country recording artist and actor Cody McCarver, formerly of Confederate Railroad, takes the stage. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted.  Bring your own chair.

Friends of the family are hoping you'll come out and help a family in need.
